Hamitech Computer Centre (HTCC) is a product of a similar computer training program developed and implemented by group of innovators, for the graduates and community with limited skills and knowledge in ICT related problems and Business Partnerships. Hamitech Computer Centre Limited (HMTCCL) was built in 2012 to provide innovative and hands-on practice for youth and communities with limited DIGITAL ICT SKILL -Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as well as Business entrepreneurship skill for starters to the job market. It currently has over 100 trained Youths and Communities with ICT related skills in Computer Application., such as Typesetting, printing, photocopying, Binding, Sealing (Laminating), Scanning Graphics Design including certificates, IDs (including plastic), Magazines, Brochures, Flyers, Business Cards, Passport Photos. Digital training on Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Editor & Internet). Training in web design and development. Training on database systems development. Designing and configuring the network. Repair and Maintenance of ICT Equipment, Development of software applications like: Student Admission and Registration Management Software, Students Result Management Software, Employee Payroll / Salary Management Software, Attendance Management Software, School Fees Collection & Management Software, Library Management Software, Health/Clinic/Sick bay Management Software, Hostel /Dormitory Management Software, Stores and Records Management Software, Report Writing and Research, Business Entrepreneurship Skills, and the number keeps increasing with improvement in admission facilities.
Promoting DIGITAL ICT SKILL, youth and communities with limited practice for beginners after dropping out of school with no hope of finding employment. ICT has contributed immensely to social and economic improvements, such as higher employment and productivity, increasing access to a higher quality of life of the individual and the society at large. Training Youths and Communities to use Digital ICTs are seen as ways to acquire skills in Job market and to provide new ways for potential employers to connect with each other. Changing our daily lives, from letter to email, market shopping to online shopping, classroom learning to e-learning. It is therefore necessary to rethink and update digital ICT skills to succeed in practice, business and employment today. The majority of unemployed young people in Uganda lack basic skills and cannot do the things that have fueled the use of technology and the internet.
